The traditional view is that human resource management is a cost center that uses up organizational resources but doesn’t create revenues for the company. The present view of human resource management is as a productivity center in which HR fulfills a revenue-generating function by providing the organization with the right people in the right place and with the right skills so that organizational productivity can be improved.
