Discuss how the barrier of time can impact effective listening

What will be an ideal response

Some people are morning people and some are more effective later in the day. Morning people can be more effective listeners earlier in the day, while people who are not morning people may not be as effective early in the day. Thus, it is recommended that important listening be geared to the time of day each listener is more comfortable. If it's not possible to change the time of listening, listeners can increase their awareness of when they will need to listen with greater concentration. Daily activities, such as work, can also cause timing issues. When you are busy, it might be tempting to try to communicate with a person while you are doing something else, which means you are not giving them your full attention.
