or trying out new experiences may be a way to uncover information from the unknown
quadrant. The Johari Window illustrates how self-disclosure, self-awareness, and how
we relate to others influence our self-concept. We can become better communicators by
becoming more aware of the information in our unknown quadrant and becoming more
adept at self-disclosure. We also begin to have more insight into how we perceive
ourselves and how others perceive us.
