Explain at least three ways how you might adapt the physical activities in your classroom to accommodate a child with limited physical abilities.

What will be an ideal response?

One method would be to allow the child with limitations to assist other children. They could help hold equipment steady or guide other children on where to go or what to do. Another method would be to let them have a limited role, such as being pinch hitter or designated server if they are unable to run, or a pinch runner if they are unable to bat or throw. One other method is to change the activities completely to something they can do. If the activity involves climbing, it could be moved to level ground with obstacles to go around rather than climb over.
