The three subtypes of ADHD are predominantly inattentive, predominantly hyperactive-impulsive, or combined. For all three types, the problem behaviors must have been present for at least 6 months and be outside the range of adaptive behavior. Also, students must exhibit at least 6 characteristics of ADHD behavior within the subtypes. Most students with ADHD have a combination of behaviors
