On a sheet of paper, draw a chart (an eco-map) showing the relationship of your field placement agency to three other agencies in the community that are most relevant to yours in serving the same or similar populations. Then, address the following questions:

What will be an ideal response?

• Is your agency a voluntary, public, or for-profit agency? Describe the other three agencies in these same terms. Does this characteristic affect the nature of agency interactions in any observable ways?
• What types of linkages exist, formally or informally, between your agency and the others (communication, cooperation, coordination, and collaboration)?
• Note any power and dependency relationships between organizations that affect the quality of their interactions.
• Identify and discuss any issues of “turf” issues among agencies and any problems that stem from them.
• Are there service gaps that result from the particular types of organizational relationships?

This assignment is self-explanatory, and the instructor should determine “weights” of the
value of each section toward the final grade
