Give three reasons why leak checking by pulling a vacuum is not a good field practice.
What will be an ideal response?
1) If the gauge needle rises, it lets you know that there is a leak, but it does not tell you where the leak is.
2) If a leak exists, you will pull air (and noncondensable gases) into the system.
3) Small particles (dirt, solder flux, etc.) may pull into small leaks and seal them. It may appear that there is no leak, until the system is pressurized and the debris is forced out of the leak.

?What is used to remove the material from a hole being drilled with a laser?
A. ?A jet of clean dry compressed air blasts the molten metal out of the hole. B. ?Laser drilling is always done overhead so the molten metal will run out of the hole. C. ?The intense heat vaporizes the spot with enough force to thrust the material out. D. ?The laser is hot enough so that it passes through the molten metal until the hole is completed and then the molten metal drips out.
