Why does a service organization not need to prepare a production budget or a cost of goods sold budget?

What will be an ideal response?

A service organization doesn't carry a product in inventory-the service is consumed immediately. A production budget isn't needed since there are no beginning or ending inventories, although labor and overhead budgets would be necessary. A cost of goods sold budget is not needed for the same reason-there is no product in inventory.
