In business markets, we have found that loyalty behaviors are interdependent and submit to hierarchical ordering, that is, customers display different behaviors in an order defined by their underlying loyalty level. Customers therefore display the different favorable behaviors in a preset sequence as their loyalty levels increase over time. This is the basic principle of the Loyalty Ladder.
