Why is it important to search the literature before designing your research?
What will be an ideal response?
ANS: Searching the literature tells you what has already been written about a topic; this saves you from duplicating others’ work. It tells you what has not yet been investigated, pointing you toward possible new projects. It helps you develop a good project by seeing how other people have carried their projects out. And it helps you develop a clearer research question than you may be able to do on your own.
