Explain some of the current trends in research regarding how to address bullying in schools. Using critical thinking, express your opinion of this current trend

What will be an ideal response?

The most recent and profound change in thinking is that the behavior of the victims needs to be addressed as well as the behavior of the bullies. Victims tend to have personality characteristics that may make them easier targets for bullies. If the victims of bullies are able to increase their self-esteem and increase their numbers of friends, for example, they will less likely be targets for bullies. Critics of this thinking say that it may actually send the message that the bullying is the fault of the victim.
