What are components professionals should include in the evaluation of intervention plans?
Fill in the blank(s) with the appropriate word(s).
When evaluating the success of the intervention, we must include strategies to document the following:
• Strategies for monitoring the consistency and accuracy with which the intervention plan is implemented should be in place.
• How the effectiveness of the plan will be determined, when it will be determined, and by whom.
• How the plan should be revised to address misbehavior, if necessary.
• Measurement of changes in the target challenging behaviors as well as the replacement skills, from baseline (prior to starting the intervention) throughout the intervention. This is usually done through direct observation.
• Any patterns or trends, such as whether the behavior is occurring more or less on particular days or at certain times of the day. The team should be able to evaluate whether the desired change in behavior has occurred, and if it has not, what could be the reason for the lack of change?
