Provide a brief explanation of the two types of observation-based nonquantitative data collection that may be used by interpretivist researchers (direct observation and participant observation).

What will be an ideal response?

Interpretivist researchers may apply grounded theory as they conduct their
research, using direct observation and participant observation (ethnography). With
direct observation, the researcher does not interact with the participants being studied,
but with participant observation, the researcher interacts with the participants without
changing what would occur naturally.
