Summarize how bibliotherapy can help a child deal with stress.

What will be an ideal response?

Bibliotherapy can help children cope with fears, anxieties, and concerns that are connected with everyday life as well as with unexpected events that can cause stress. By reading or listening to appropriate books, children can identify with a character who has a problem similar to theirs; experience emotional release, which is a part of confronting the problem; and gain insight into the problem by developing a understanding of the character’s (and therefore their own) motives and emotions.
