Why does "sanitation engineer" or "low food security" sound better to the public than "garbage collector" and "starvation?"

What will be an ideal response?

Words have the power to influence beliefs and behaviors in our conversations
with others. The job title, "sanitation engineer," accords this job more credibility. And
the government's description of "low food security" hides or softens the truth of poverty
and starvation in America while also shifting responsibility for "food security" away
from the government and politicians.
