Explain the difference between percent and valid percent. Why is this difference
important?
What will be an ideal response
Percentages are based on all cases while valid percentages are determined
using only those cases that provided data. This is important when missing cases are
present. Missing cases do not tell us anything, and including these cases in our
calculations provides an inaccurate representation of valid responses.
