Why is the National Violence Against Women Survey an important source of data on same-sex intimate partner violence?
What will be an ideal response?
The National Violence against Women Survey (NVAW) is the only national survey on intimate partner violence that does not exclude same-sex respondents. Although it does not ask respondents about their sexual identity, it did ask whether they had ever lived with a same-sex partner. It also asked if they had a history of intimate partner victimization by a same-sex cohabiting partner.
