What is the ABCD method?

The ABCD method is used by registered dietitian nutritionists to assess individuals' nutritional status. Anthropometric measures (body weight, growth), Biochemical or laboratory measures (blood, urine), Clinical measures (observation of hair, nails), and Dietary intake measures (24-hour recall, food frequency questionnaires) are used to determine nutrient deficiencies and excesses.
