Discussion to support the graphic organizer developed by the student should include the key points used to create the graphic organizer and a plan for using this strategy in the classroom. Key points include determine the critical content you wish to teach, organize concepts into a concept map, design a completed concept map, create a partially completed concept map for instruction, and create a blank concept map for post reading/review. Distribute partially completed maps, use a Power Point/overhead projector to project the map, introduce the concept map stressing relationships among vocabulary/concepts/events/details/facts, review the concepts, and then review critical content again at the end of the lesson.
