Linguistic intelligence as involving ability with and sensitivity to spoken and written language, and visual-spatial intelligence as the ability to portray and manipulate visual images. A child might display linguistic intelligence by reading something a teacher has written on a whiteboard. A child might display visual-spatial intelligence by creating a bird out of play dough.
