Why is replacing fat with refined carbohydrates not a healthy option?


While saturated fats do raise levels of "bad" LDL cholesterol, they also increase levels of "good" HDL cholesterol, and lowers triglycerides. Refined carbohydrates cause blood sugar to increase, along with insulin and triglycerides, which raises the risk of obesity, heart disease, and diabetes.
