What will be an ideal response?

Ans: Answer would ideally include: Action research has often been misunderstood. It is more rigorous than typical, everyday practices in education and is more systematic than some may believe. Without properly understanding that action research is not a fad, it is not conclusive, or entirely objective, action research will likely be mistaken for something else. It is important to clarify that action research is parallel to more traditional types of research because it may be misused otherwise. It must be clear that individuals may range on a continuum of being researchers and educational practitioners--these two dispositions are not mutually exclusive.
