Discuss the difference between the RDA, AI, EAR, and UL of food nutrients

What will be an ideal response?

The Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) is the amount of the nutrient that will meet the needs of almost every
healthy person in a specific age and gender group. The Adequate Intake (AI) is used when the RDA is not known
because scientific data aren't strong enough to produce a specific recommendation, yet there is enough evidence to
give a general guideline. The Estimated Average Requirement (EAR) is the value estimated to satisfy the needs of
50% of people in a given age group. The EAR is used primarily to establish the RDA. The Tolerable Upper Intake
Level (UL) is the maximal amount of a nutrient that a person can take without risking adverse health effects
