Describe how self-disclosing communication is related to catharsis
What will be an ideal response?
Self-disclosing communication can be a form of communicative release or catharsis. This is especially true when we want to rid ourselves of information that is causing tension or guilt. It is a way of getting something off our mind to reduce stress. The benefit of this type of disclosure is that it rids us of
dealing with an issue or problem by ourselves and invites sympathy or help.
