What is Dynamics of the Homicide Unit?

What will be an ideal response?

The police homicide unit is probably one of the more celebrated investigative units in the law enforcement organization. This is because, in part, solving the crime of murder is one of society’s highest priorities.
The clearance rate is a readily available statistic and is directly impacted by the homicide unit. On the other hand, a number of indirect, non-homicide-unit-related variables can affect the conviction rate, if the actual percentage can even be determined. These variables include jury selection, testimony by witnesses, the ability of the prosecutor to successfully present a case to a jury, and the extent to which quality evidence has been obtained and is made available to the jury.
