These children will also have difficulty with verbs, especially tense and agreement and complex argument structure. They will have difficulty with conjoined and embedded sentences. They will also have weaker word knowledge, smaller vocabularies, word retrieval problems, and they will produce more word errors. Children with SLI are also less socially interactive and they have pragmatic impairments.
