Answers will vary, but should be similar to the following. Drill and practice uses a repetitive approach that emphasizes rote memory. This form of computer use is rarely utilized today. Simulations allow the effects of changes to be seen in a model before irrevocable changes are made in the real system. Students are asked to make decisions on the basis of incomplete data and the results can be seen quickly. This is excellent practice for the real world. Multimedia presentations allow the student to access and manipulate text, sounds, and images. This use can greatly enhance their classroom presentations. Network projects provide opportunities for students to interact with students and professional scientists from around the world.
