Discuss the limitations of ethics training in modern police departments.
What will be an ideal response?
The biggest problem with ethics training in police departments is that officers generally receive very little. This often happens because there is uncertainty as to what should be included or how to conduct the training. Another significant limitation is that many police departments may only cover ethics training during academy training. Ethics training should be career long and should be geared toward addressing issues that an officer may face in a specific assignment.
