Students should note that as the suspect?s actions become more unmanageable and aggressive, the officer?s selection of responses will include a wider range of choices and some choices that are harsher and more likely to cause harm. At the lower end of the spectrum, the officer is merely strategic, but at the higher end, the officer may employ lethal force.
