During the first 2,000 miles of operation, avoid maximum engine load or extensive idling. Vary the engine speed. Let the engine idle for 30 seconds before shutting down. Avoid over-revving the engine or driving at excessive speeds. At the first 500-miles after replacement, change the oil and filter and double-check the engine.
