Explain the difference between groups and teams.
What will be an ideal response?
A team is a small number of people with complementary skills who are committed
to a common purpose, performance goals, and approach for which they hold
themselves mutually accountable. A work group interacts primarily to share information
with other members of the group (e.g., members of a work group attend a monthly staff
meeting and share what they are working on). They are not responsible for a collective
work product, or their individual contributions can be added up to create something.
