If a student turned in an outline and reference page for a speech but failed to include in-text citations in the body of the outline, would this be considered plagiarism? Explain your answer.

What will be an ideal response?

An in-text citation provides a brief mention of the source material next to the information used in the outline. Just listing the source on the reference page is not enough. The in-text citation tells which information came from where, in a way the reference page cannot. It is also your cue to cite your sources orally, which you must do to avoid plagiarism.
