Chiquita’s banana division accounts for more than half of the company’s revenues and employs some 20,000 employees in more than 127 banana farms in five countries in Latin America: Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, and Colombia (Wicki & Van der Kaaij, 2007).
