What is characterization?

What will be an ideal response?

Characterization refers to the people contained in a client’s story. Oftentimes, the client is the protagonist or the main character. Antagonists are those people within the client’s story who are in conflict with him or her. Supporting characters are the other people in a client’s story, and this group may vary greatly. It is important for the therapist to help clients describe the various people who are significant in their story.
