List and discuss at least two factors that create barriers for victims of IPV to leave an abusive relationship? What more could communities do to break down these barriers?

What will be an ideal response?

If a victim remains with an abuser, they are criticized and often blamed for the victimization. If they choose to leave the abuser, they may face criticism for a lack of commitment to the relationship and/or the welfare of their children or spouse. Love, normalization of abuse, fear, isolation, economic dependence, children, and so on. Improving the knowledge around the effects of IPV, along with acknowledging that leaving an abusive relationship is not that simple will help in addressing the problem and reduce the stigma surrounding it.
