Describe the "path" of a sperm cell from its production until it leaves the male body
What will be an ideal response?
Sperm are produced in the seminiferous tubes and enter the epididymis. Here the sperm mature and become capable of fertilizing an egg and moving on their own. From the epididymis, the vas deferens transfers the sperm to the urethra. The urethra conducts sperm (in semen) out of the body through the penis.
