Identify the attributes of a good listener by identifying the guidelines of how to listen ethically

What will be an ideal response?

Answer: The attributes of a good listener who listens ethically should include the following:
Communicate your expectations and feedback – the audience member has the right to enter into a communication situation with expectations about the message and how the speaker will deliver it. They should know what information and ideas they want to get out of the communication transaction; they expect a coherent, organized, and competently delivered presentation; using verbal and nonverbal feedback, they communicate their objectives and react to the speaker’s message and delivery.
Be sensitive to and tolerant of differences – it is important for the audience member to exercise social and cultural awareness and tolerance; they should be attentive and courteous; they should remember that different cultures have different styles of speaking; and the audience member should try to understand the needs, goals, and interest of both the speaker and the other audience members so they can judge how to react appropriately and ethically as a listener.
