Construct a statement about how a researcher would use a theoretical lens in a mixed methods study utilizing a social science framework.
What will be an ideal response?
A researcher would begin the study using theory to help provide context around the research questions and/or hypotheses. They would discuss the theories that help to guide the research by drawing connections between the concepts or variables present in the study. Most theoretical perspectives in a mixed method study will also include a diagram to visually depict relationships between the variables and/or constructs of interest. At the end of the study, the researchers would discuss how the theory informed their findings and interpretations of the data.
