Students' examples will vary, but examples should reflect an understanding of how one can be "nameless" or "faceless" online, depending on what information they choose to give out online.
CMC offers the possibility of withholding more aspects of your identity from public consideration than has ever before been possible. In short, we generally choose what we tell others about ourselves online, which makes us more or less anonymous.
