Explain the difference between system metadata and content metadata. Why might it be just as important to protect system metadata as it is to protect content data from unauthorized persons?

What will be an ideal response?

The system metadata, such as the file name, size, location, and when the file was created or modified, is used to track or locate the file containing the data. Content metadata is about the content of the file itself, such as the name of the author of the document, any tracked changes, and the document version. The time a file was created or changed can be very important, as well as information about who made the changes or created the file. In some cases, this information can show that a person had certain knowledge at a particular time. This can be critical evidence in a case where knowledge of a fact or condition is critical.
