What is the role of imitation in the development of prosocial behaviors?
What will be an ideal response?
Imitation is an important and logical tool for teaching prosocial behavior. We waste a great opportunity to influence children if we do not become particularly aware of our own actions and attitudes as well as those communicated by cultural media such as television. Children internalize the language and behavior they see. The nurturing adult will closely monitor and limit programs to avoid overexposure to violent, irresponsible behaviors.
