What factors affect your credit score?

What will be an ideal response?

Several factors can influence your credit score. Your credit score is based on the number of accounts you have, their age, the timeliness of payments, and debt. Paying bills on time, using less than 25% of your total credit, and being steadily employed can increase your score. Being late with payments, making too many requests for new lines of credit, or being subject to too many inquiries about your credit can lower your score. If your credit rating is low, you could face higher interest rates if you attempt to borrow money.
