Explain the relationship between a test statistic and a critical value.
What will be an ideal response?
Ans: A test statistic is the result of using an inferential statistical test; it is then compared to a critical value to test the null hypothesis. If the test statistic exceeds the critical value, it falls in the region of null hypothesis rejection and we reject the null hypothesis.
