Witnesses will more than likely not have to testify. It may save time, money, and frustration in trying to locate a witness. It may assist in a case in which the witness predeceased the decedent. Also, some witnesses may have become incompetent since witnessing the original document, or memories may have become faulty. Witness may live extremely far away and it could be costly to bring them to court. It may be difficult to track down a witness if they have changed their name.
