A radio advertiser may purchase network, spot, or local radio time. Explain the differences.

What will be an ideal response?

Advertisers may use one of the national radio networks to carry their messages to the entire national market simultaneously via stations that subscribe to network's programs. Network radio provides national and regional advertisers with simple administration and low effective net cost per station, but it cannot be done as quickly as sport or local radio. Spot radio affords national advertisers greater flexibility in their choice of markets, airtime, stations, and copy. Also, they can air ads quickly. Local radio denotes radio spots purchased by local advertisers or agencies.
