What is a pure project structure for an organization? What are the advantages of using this structure?

What will be an ideal response?

A project structure is set up such that the exclusive focus is on running projects. Each project is a self-contained business unit with a dedicated project team. The project manager is the leader of the project and the staff all report to the leader. The staffing decisions and duration of the employees' tenure with the project are left to the discretion of the project manager, who is the chief point of authority for the project. The four advantages of this structure as presented in the text are: the project manager is the authority and in control of the project; improved communication among project team members; there is a ready supply of trained project management professionals; and increased flexibility and rapid response to environmental opportunities.
