What does active or reflective listening involve?
?Attentive, authentic listening is more than hearing words being spoken. It is hearing what's being said nonverbally as well as verbally, processing the information, being able to reflect back the content, and utilizing appropriate verbal and non-verbal responses. This is called active or reflective listening. It expresses real interest and makes another person feel that he or she is being understood. It also communicates to others that you want to know and understand how they feel and think.
