Discuss why the International Organization for Standardization recommends the use of projection symbols.
What will be an ideal response?
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) recommends the use of a projection symbol on drawings that are produced in one country for use among many countries. The projection symbols are intended to promote the accurate exchange of technical information through drawings.
The ISO projection symbol, the notation on tolerances, and information on whether metric and/or inch dimensions are used on the drawing should appear as notes either within the title block or adjacent to it.
