What does this graph reveal about the rate of reaction of the two different enzymes? What are the implications of this finding?

What will be an ideal response?

This graphs shows that different enzymes have different optimal pH ranges. Pepsin's rate of reaction peaks at pH 2.0 and trypsin peaks at pH 8.0.
The answers to the implications part of the question may vary. The implications are two fold. Different enzymes have evolved to work optimally in different environments. The rate of reaction decreases sharply and drops to almost nothing when the pH is too low or too high. Thus, if outside of its optimal pH range, an enzyme will not work to speed up a chemical reaction, and in fact may be totally denatured.
