List the guidelines for physical activity.

What will be an ideal response?

(answers may vary)Any physical activity is better than none; even short episodes of physical activity above usual activity can have positive health benefits. Benefits, including reduced blood pressure and anxiety symptoms and improved sleep, and cognition, happen immediately. The degree of benefit increases as the volume (duration) and intensity increase. Current guidelines strongly recommend everyone from age 3 up to reduce sedentary time and integrate moderate to vigorous intensity physical activity into their routine lifestyle. The target amount of physical activity for substantial health benefit is 2.5 hours per week. The basic recommendation could be met with a brisk 30-minute walk five days a week, or two to three 10-minute bouts of activity every day.
